Kaufman County provides frequent opportunities for residents to dispose of mattresses, furniture, appliances, other old household items, recyclables and trash. Anticipated hours for all events is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., subject to change.
ITEMS WHICH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT ANY LOCATON AT ANY TIME: BARBED WIRE, BRICKS, CONCRETE, CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, ROCK ROOFING, SHINGLES, BRUSH,BOATS, TRAVEL TRAILERS, DUMP TRAILERS, ENCLOSED TRAILERS, CATTLE TRAILERS AND DEAD ANIMALS OF ANY TYPE OR SIZE.
At all locations the following items can be collected for a charge on the day of the event: Tires, TVs, Computers, Microwaves, Latex Paint, Pesticide Containers, Hazardous Household Waste. For information on details, pricing and payment please get contact info at www.blackjackdisposal.com.
The Kaufman Convenience Station will be open for items not being collected at the free event. Check www.kaufmancounty.net for regular pricing. Coupons for disposal of such items need to be purchased by 4:30 the Friday before the event.
Tires will be accepted for free on April 6, April 20, May 4, June 10, and July 6. Limit 10 per household until truck is full. Passenger tires only. NO RIMS ALLOWED.
Please check the county website for updated dates and specifics for each scheduled event. Not all items are accepted at each location. There may be costs related for disposal of TIRES, TELEVISIONS, COMPUTERS, MICROWAVES, LATEX PAINT, PESTICIDE CONTAINERS, HAZARDOUS HOUSEHOLD WASTE and other items. For details on for pricing.
Proof of residence, such as a driver's license or water bill, will be required. No cattle trailers, dump trailers or enclosed trailers allowed.
