COUNTY CLEANUPS NOW HELD MONTHLY; ROTATE BETWEEN LOCATIONS

Kaufman County now provides more frequent opportunities for residents to dispose of mattresses, furniture, appliances, other old household items, recyclables and trash at no cost.

Proof of residence, such as a driver's license or water bill, will be required. No cattle trailers or enclosed trailers allowed.

ITEMS WHICH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT ANY LOCATON AT ANY TIME: BARBED WIRE, BRICKS, CONCRETE, CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, ROCK ROOFING, SHINGLES, BRUSH,BOATS, TRAVEL TRAILERS, DUMP TRAILERS, ENCLOSED TRAILERS, CATTLE TRAILERS AND DEAD ANIMALS OF ANY TYPE OR SIZE.

Please check the county website for updated dates and specifics for each scheduled event. Not all items are accepted at each location. There may be costs related for disposal of  TIRES, TELEVISIONS, COMPUTERS, MICROWAVES, LATEX PAINT, PESTICIDE CONTAINERS, HAZARDOUS HOUSEHOLD WASTE and other items. Coupons may need to be pre-purchased. Check www.kaufmancounty.net for pricing.

Events shall be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The locations and 2023 dates are:


Precinct 1 @ City of Kaufman Convenience Station- 701 Alton Street, Kaufman- 972-932-2161

          May 6,  September 9

Precinct 2 @ County Maintenance Barn- 12051 Precinct Circle, Forney- 972-703-2626

          June 10,  October 7

Precinct 3- Terrell Convenience Station- 287 FM 429- 972-703-2626

          March 4,  July 8,  November 4

 Precinct 4- ECO Station- 6520 Plainview (Just east off 175), Kemp- 903-289-9881

           April 1,  August 5,  December 2    And at a TBD Crandall site on April 15.
