PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION

September 14, 2026

The Talty Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a meeting at 7:00 pm on Monday, September 14, 2026 at Talty City Hall, 9700 CR 213 to consider the following agenda:

 I.         Call to Order: Announce quorum

II.         Public Hearings

1.          A proposed preliminary plat for the Dollar General FM 148 Addition consisting of one lot of approximately 1.600 acres. The affected area is in the City's ETJ and generally southeast of the FM 1641/FM 148/CR 215 intersection. It is also a portion of a five-acre tract currently identified as PID  187154 by the Kaufman Central Appraisal District (KCAD). 

2.         An ordinance amending Ordinance 99-08, the City’s comprehensive zoning ordinance, to amend Section 2.22 (‘Supplemental Regulations”) to add provisions relating to data centers; amending the zoning use chart adopted by Section 2.21 of the comprehensive zoning ordinance to add data centers as a permissible use by conditional use permit; providing a repealing clause; providing a severability clause; providing a penalty of fine not to exceed the sum of two thousand ($2000.00) dollars for each offense; and, providing an effective date.

III.       Agenda Items:

            1.          Discussion and action on August 3, 2026 minutes.
